The annual carnival brings together the villages of Eaton Bray and Edlesborough, on the green at Edlesborough to raise funds
for St. Mary's church and local charities.

On the Friday evening before the big day a few of us help Andy who is driving one of the trucks used to collect items to be
used during the next day, eg tables, traffic cones, urns and other such necessities for a successful village carnival.

The next day, some of us walk with the Carnival procession through Eaton Bray and Edlesborough to Edlesborough Village
Green collecting donations along the way. We then wander around looking at the stalls and spending our money enjoying the
sun and the wonderful atmosphere that always pervades this village carnival.
St. Marys Carnival
After a cup of tea and a piece of cake we start helping
to pack up the fun filled and crowd pleaser of a day;
Andy's back with his truck along with other chaps and
their lorries (and not a Yorkie in sight!) packing away
the tables, cones and all the other items we collected
the previous evening and returning them to the various
organisations they were borrowed from (village halls
and individuals).

We usually finish the day with a curry and a beer at
Andy and Martine's, talking over how the day has
gone and looking forward to next year's event when
we will do it all again.
