1. Objectives

The objectives of an Orbit Club are:

  1. to promote a service to the community
  2. to promote fellowship and goodwill between members.

2. Membership

Membership of an Orbit Club is aimed at persons between the ages of 28 and 45. At its discretion, Orbit may admit, or retain, persons outside this age range, provided that a Club does not target its recruitment at such persons.

3. Requirements

  1. An Orbit Club shall be neutral in religious and political matters.
  2. An Orbit Club shall not discriminate against persons (members or otherwise) on the grounds of nationality, race, religion, politics, disability, and social, marital or sexual status.

4. Meetings

An Orbit Club shall meet at least twice a month, with at least one of the meetings being a business meeting.

5. Officers

An Orbit Club shall have the following officers as a minimum: Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer. At its discretion, a Club may appoint other officers.

All officers shall be elected annually in May by Club members, to serve in the following Orbit Year.

6. The Orbit Year

The Orbit Year runs from 1st July to the 30th June.

7. Registration

An Orbit Club is deemed recognised when it has been registered with, accepted by, and has paid its subscription to, Orbit National.

8. Bye Laws

An Orbit Club may adopt such byelaws as it deems necessary, provided they are consistent with this constitution.

9. Amendments

This constitution may be amended by a two-thirds majority of all Orbit Clubs registered by Orbit National at the time the amendment is put to the vote.
